Is It Necessary? Comments Off

When it comes to spending money, sometimes I have no control over hubby’s spending. I wish he could be as sensible as I am!

Had hubby been more budget wise, he wouldn’t have bought the used rustic bathroom vanities.

It’s true that the used ones cost a little because they were bought from the flea market. But then, it’s the usability rather than the money that I am concerned about.

An item which costs only a dollar doesn’t mean that it’s worth buying. It’s the question whether it is necessary to buy it.

Opps, Out Of Budget! Comments Off

Earlier, I felt like buying a pair of sports goggles for hubby to replace his existing ones. But then, I didn’t buy.

It’s because of my old post titled ‘Tips on How to Budget‘ that stopped me from placing an order.

I mean for the time being. For the time being, I am out of budget due to some unexpected expenses like car service and leaking toilet. >.<

Once I am in my budget again, I will buy. But when? Mmmm, maybe next month or two months later!

Wish To Have One! Comments Off

What do you think of getting an htc desire hd? It is undoubtedly one of the richest ways to visually experience news, friends, photos, favorite places and whatever else is important on a mobile phone.

I wish I could get one too! Too bad that my budget doesn’t allow me to do so. >.<

Besides, I don’t think hubby will agree to let me change to a new phone since the one I am using now is still working fine.

May Hubby Become A More Frugal Guy! Comments Off

Although I didn’t give hubby his atm card the other day, I gave him extra $200 to be kept in his wallet.

Surprisingly, he didn’t use much. I had a peep into his wallet just now while looking for his term life insurance buddy’s name card.

Not bad, there are still 3 pieces of $50 note in his wallet! Hopefully his $150 can last for another week.

How I wish he could turn from a spendthrift man to a more frugal guy! It takes two people to be thrifty in order to be millionaires, you know.

Dig Into The Family Budget Comments Off

Remember to bring along my best wrinkle cream! It’s confirmed that I must be away for one day.

Being away for a day without Internet connection; there are only TV shows and music for me to ward off my boredom.

It’s the time like this that I wish I had a notebook or netbook with me wherever I go. Maybe I should really consider buying myself one.

Let me dig into the family budget and see if I can squeeze out extra money for a new netbook next month. ;-)

Track Expenses Using The Personal Budgeting Software Comments Off

With hubby’s cooperation in controlling family budget, it’s easy for me to track the expenses using the personal budgeting software.

It was difficult to track hubby’s spending last time because he didn’t like to keep receipts or recall what he had bought. Sometimes, he simply didn’t want me to know what he had purchased.

Of course, I am not the kind of person who tracks every cent and dollar. I can’t bear with cracking my head thinking where I have spent the $1.50 or $0.95.

It Takes Two People To Work On Controlling Family Budget Comments Off

Phew, hubby’s impulse buying habit has stopped for a few weeks! Maybe it’s because he is too busy with his new project that he has no time and energy to go shopping.

Isn’t it wonderful if he keeps making money and has no time to go shopping and spend money?

I can heave a relief for the time being and focus on writing the piled up acne treatment reviews without worrying if hubby will overspend.

It really takes husband and wife to work together when it comes to controlling family budget.

How To Get Rid Of Hubby’s Impulse Buying Habit? Comments Off

Oh, it’s so difficult to get rid of hubby’s impulse buying habit!

I thought it’s supposed to be women who have the impulse spending habit? It’s funny that hubby is the one who loves shopping and is easily lured into buying.

As for me, I am the one who would rather sit at the computer desk surfing the Internet and doing the online work the whole day.

I am also the one who loves comparing many best weight loss supplements but not placing any order in the end. :-)

Since being in the debt management program, I am not easily lured into buying.

Out Of $300 Budget Money, $180 Is Spent On Shoes & Clothes! Comments Off

Borrow MoneyI was and am pissed off by hubby’s impulse buying again! Argh, …

He spent some $180 on shoes and clothes yesterday afternoon while I was working hard at home comparing auto insurance quote websites and writing reviews.

So out of $300 that I set aside as this week’s family budget, $180 was gone because of his shopping spree.

Am I too tight when it comes to family budget? But if I don’t control the budget, there will always be no savings for emergency needs.

You know, one of my new year resolutions is not to borrow money from family or friends anymore in year 2010!

Get Your Heated Mattress Pads Ready This Freezing Christmas! Comments Off

Have you got your heated mattress pads ready this freezing Christmas season?

It’s reported that some sleet and freezing rain mixed with the winter storm will begin this Thursday, the Christmas Eve, and continue through Christmas Day and into Saturday.

Oh, love the Christmas season so much! Merry Christmas to you first, in case I am not online for the next few days.

Although there are still lots of last minute Xmas sales and deals now, I don’t think I want to finish January’s family budget money.

Besides, the financial experts love to say this, “There is never ending sale.”
